Procurement should pay close attention to these three important properties of BNC connectors, avoid being fooled

BNC connector is a very common RF terminal coaxial cable terminator, which consists of a center pin, a jacket and a card holder. Commonly used for the transmission of radio frequency signals, including the transmission of analog or digital video signals... The BNC connector is now displayed in the TXGA product list (special models need to be customized, please contact TXGA customer service). If you need, please click to view.

The three important performances of BNC connectors are mainly the characteristic impedance, frequency, and VSWR.

1. Characteristic impedance, the most commonly used characteristic impedance of BNC connectors is 50Ω and 75Ω. Many models of BNC connectors have 50Ω and 75Ω specifications at the same time. Generally speaking, 50Ω BNC connectors are best used in high-frequency, high-performance products; 75Ω BNC connectors are mostly used in products with lower frequencies, and the frequency is mostly within 4GHz, especially in consumer electronics video. Customers should choose the BNC connector that suits their impedance according to their products.

2. Frequency, each BNC connector will have a frequency application range, and customers should know their product working frequency to select the connector. Choosing a connector lower than the required operating frequency will affect the electrical performance of the entire device; or choosing an expensive high-precision high-frequency connector results in waste. It should be noted that the application frequency of connectors designed by different companies is relatively large, and the application frequency of poor products is far from meeting the industry's demand standards. Therefore, when selecting a connector, be sure to confirm the product's electrical performance description.

3. VSWR is one of the most important performance indicators of the BNC connector. It is a measurement standard for measuring the amount of signal returned from the connector. It is a vector unit that includes the amplitude and phase components. The same type of connector has different VSWR at different application frequencies. Generally speaking, the higher the application frequency, the higher the VSWR. If you want to know the VWSR of a particular frequency of the BNC connector, you can ask the manufacturer.

TXGA factory sells connectors in F2C mode, which can be purchased online, and the products in stock are shipped on the same day, making purchasing more convenient and simple.
